Rise in international prices of Petrol have been attributed to the price hike. However the global prices of diesel have come down. Further to this, the Indian rupee to US dollar exchange rates have depreciated. These factors have led to the hike in the Petrol prices – a statement from Indian Oil Corporation has said.
With this, the Petrol in Delhi will be costing Rs 66.93 per litre instead of Rs 66.29. However a litre of diesel will now only cost Rs 50.93 compared to Rs 52.28 earlier.
