Aamir Khan features on the Times Cover page
‘Satyamev Jayate’ – The social initiative by the undisputed Bollywood perfectionist, has led him to appear on the cover page of the coveted Times magazine. The magazine has lauded Aamir’s efforts in trying to bring a radical change in the society using the media.
Featured with the caption ‘KHAN’S QUEST’ – the blurb asks – “He’s breaking the Bollywood mold by tackling India’s social evils. Can one actor change a nation ?”
Known as the Mr. Perfectionist in the Bollywood industry, Aamir has become a symbol of an idealistic icon through his on-screen and off-screen images. Aamir’s Satyamev Jayate has received a very positive rating from the viewers and critics together.
The show has had big impacts in some of the sections of the nation. It can be recalled that the Rajasthan government promised to set up fast track courts to resolve the pending female foeticide cases in the state, as a response to one of the episodes of the show.
Aamir was also invited to the Indian Parliament to discuss about the issues related to Foreign investment (FDI) in the Pharma industry.

Appearing on the Times cover, has not been a new phenomenon in Bollywood. Way back in July 1976, Parveen Babi had graced the cover page. In 2003, Aishwarya Rai was seen on the magazine cover.
