Glenn Maxwell sold for $1 million – IPL 6 auction

Mumbai Indians have bought the Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell for a whopping $ 1 million during the IPL players’ auction. Anil Kumble, who is holding the mentorship for Mumbai Indians, has exclaimed that it was a “good catch”.

Owner Nita Ambani was equally lauding – “He is an upcoming youngster, can bat, bowl, can spin the ball well and is a good fielder and Mumbai wanted a young all-rounder. We had thought about a few names and he is one of them,” she said.

The biggest surprises in the auction emerged when the low-key pair of Chris Morris and Sachitra Senanayake had been bought for $625,000 each and Kane Richardson being valued at $700,000.
