He is all set to become the next Chief Minister of one of India’s prominent states – Uttar Pradesh. Mr. Yadav will be the youngest CM, the state has ever seen. Akhilesh, holds an engineering degree from SJCE, Mysore and a postgraduate degree in Environmental engineering from University of Sydney.

On Saturday, the SP legislators held a meeting in Lucknow, to choose their new leader and the Chief minister for the state. Akhilesh was nominated in the meeting to be their new leader.
The Samajwadi Party, which he represents, won a vote of majority in the recently held elections to the UP assembly, pushing the Mayawati led Bahujan Samajwadi Party to the second position.
