Markets have shown declines in the trades on Thursday, with hawkish cues from global markets as well. Metal stocks have been the laggards on the index.
The NSE Nifty is struggling to hold the 6125 mark. The Nifty is currently at 6124, down by 30 points, while the BSE Sensex is down by 86 points to trade at 20635.
Tata Steel, from the metals arena is down by nearly 2% on the index. The stock is down to 364.95. JSW Steel is down by 1.6%. Jindal steel has seen a decline of 1.4%.
Some of the banking stocks have also seen correction after yesterday’s rally. Bank of Baroda is down to 521 with a cut of 1.8%. ICICI Bank is down by 1.6% at 1014. Kotak Bank is also down by 1%.
Tata Power, NMDC, PNB, Hindalco – have all seen cuts of more than 1% each.
TCS, Bajaj Auto and Tata Motors are holding marginally in the green.
The CNX Midcap index is also down by 45 points while the Nifty Junior index is down by 71 points.
REC Limited has lost nearly 5% and is trading at 183.70. Bank of India, Adani Ports, Cummins have all lost over 2%.
