Markets down marginally.

Markets opened on a soft note Thursday on the back of mixed global cues. The BSE Sensex opened at 16,814, down 62 points and the Nifty opened at 5,041, down 22 points.
Among the sectoral indices, BSE Metal, Capital Goods and Power indices are leading the losses, down nearly 1% each.

BSE IT and Auto are in the green, marginally up.

Among the Sensex 30 stocks, Hero MotoCorp and Wipro are the major gainers, up 1% each. Bajaj Auto and TCS are up marginally.

Bharti Airtel has shed 2% at Rs 372. Other prominent losers from the pack are Coal India, BHEL, Hindalco Industries and Tata Steel.
