Markets open in red. ADAG stocks show recovery

Markets have opened in the red, after yesterday’s slide following the results from the state assembly elections. Some of the counters from yesterday’s fall, have seen recoveries, specifically to mention are the ADAG stocks.

At 9:57 AM, the Nifty is holding at 5201, down by 20 pts (-0.4%).

Major declines have been seen again in the metal sector. Jindal steel is don by 2%. Hindalco has seen a cut of 0.7%. Sterlite is also in the red with 0.7% cuts.

IT stocks are trading mixed. Infosys is marginally up while Wipro has managed to gain 1%. TCS is down by 1%.

SBI, has been trading in the red with 1% cut. ICICI Bank is also in the red with 0.5% dip.

Power major NTPC is down by 0.9%. Powergrid has lost 2.8%. Hindustand Petroleum (HINDPETRO) is down by 2.4%.

The CNX Midcap index has also lost around 0.3%. HDIL from real estate sector, is down by 1%. Jubilant Foodworks has seen a dip of over 1% and so is IVRCL Infrastructure (IVRCLINFRA).
