Mauritius tax treaty makes GTL Infra fall by 40%

GTL group of stocks have plunged over 40% in trade today. The stocks have fallen with rumours and news flows on the tax treaty with Mauritius coming into the limelight. Many stocks with investments from Mauritius are witnessing the selling   pressure. India and Mauritius will restart talks on tax treaty. Mauritius agrees to revise tax treaty with India. It is said that around more than 40% of FDI in India is from Mauritius.

The markets have been worried about the news rumours of re-negotiation about the Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement (DTAA) with Mauritius.
