The Indian markets have opened down for the week having expiry of the F&O series. The BSE Sensex is at 16,230, down by 141 points and the NSE Nifty is at 4,866, down by 40 points.
Among the sectoral indices, BSE Oil & Gas, Auto and Bankex indices are leading the losses, down nearly 1% each.
Reliance Industries, GAIL, Essar Oil and Oil India, down 1-2% each, are the major losers from the Oil & Gas space.
Tata Motors, Apollo Tyres, Bajaj Auto and Cummins India, down 1-2% each, are the prominent losers among the Auto stocks.
Among the financials, Federal Bank, Canara Bak, HDFC Bank and Bank of Baroda, down 1-2% each, are the prominent losers.
Bharti Airtel has shed nearly 3% at Rs 387. Other losers from the pack are Tata Motors, Reliance Industries, Bajaj Auto and HDFC Bank, down 1-2% each.
Gainers among the Sensex 30 stocks are Cipla and Larsen & Toubro, up 1% each
