Markets have slipped marginally in the opening trade, dragged down by financial, banking, telecom and realty stocks. Selected Steel counters have seen gains.
At 9:50 AM, the Nifty is at 5632, down by 18 pts or -0.32%
BHEL, is down by over 2.2% and is trading at 2001.20. Reliance is down by 0.6%. Punj lloyd is down by over 1%.
Banking stocks have seen declines. PNB is down by 1.1%. SBI is down by 0.7%.
Telecom major Bharti – is down by over 1%, while RCOM is down by 1.3%.
Reliance Infra is down by 1.2%.
SAIL is however trading in the green with 2.5% gains. Tata steel is also up by 1%.
HCL Tech, from the IT space is up by 1%. Suzlon energy is up by 1.4%.
GTL Infrastructure shot up 5% on merger news.
Escorts gained 1.6% on news of business restructuring.
Jubilant Foodworks, Hexaware and Ashok Leyland were up 1-2%.
