Nifty moves above 6500. Metals climb up.

markets move highIndian financial markets have regained the firmness, as the global cues also try to support the economic conditions getting stable. Metal stocks have been the forerunners, while Infrastructure and Capital goods stocks have also seen surges.

The BSE Sensex has moved up by 56 points 21789, while the NSE Nifty has moved up by 18 points at 6501.

It would be interesting to watch if the benchmark indices can hold on to their positions and add further in today’s trade.

Tata Steel has gained over 1.5% in today’s trade. The stock is trading at 356. Hindalco and Jindal steel have also seen surges of over 1% each. Hindalco has further gained 1%. SSLT has also gained 1.2%.

Bank of Baroda continues its upward journey with 1.2% gains to trade at 649.

Some of the stocks from Capital goods & infrastructure space are also buzzing. BHEL is up by 1%, while JP Associates is up by 1.5%. Tata Power is up by 1.2%.

Bharti Airtel has gained 1.2% to trade at 298.

Stocks in the red include Asian Paints – which has lost 1.2% at 510. ONGC, BPCL and Axis Bank have all lost more than 1% each.
