NPA worries push markets down.

The Sensex opened 70 points lower on Friday amid choppy trade, tracking endless eurozone fears. The Sensex was down 82 points at 15,775.28 and the Nifty fell 30 points to 4,719.90.

ONGC, GAIL Ranbaxy Labs, L&T, SBI, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, PNB, Wipro, Bharti, JP Associates, IDFC (below Rs 100 mark), Ambuja Cements and Hero Motocorp were down between 1% and 2%.

However, ITC, Infosys, Cairn India, Reliance Industries and TCS were supporting the market.
Kingfisher Airlines tanked 9% on concerns over company’s debts and shortage of funds for running operations. Group company, United Spirits too lost 3.5%.
IDBI Bank, UCO Bank, Bank of Bardar, Union Bank of India and Allahabad Bank were down over 1%.

Jet Airways, VIP Industries. IRB Infra and GVK Power were down 1.5-2.5%.TV Today and Network 18 fell 4% each. TV18 Broadcast was down 1%. 3i Infotech and Hexaware were up 1.5-2.5%.
