Quiet trades continue in markets. BHEL loses 3%

Markets Quiet TradesMarkets have continued to witness quiet trades in most of the sectors. Select stocks are witnessing some amount of buying, as the Asian markets are also witnessing flat indices.


Nifty and Sensex flat

The NSE Nifty is at 6042, up by 20 points while the BSE Sensex has gained 73 points at 20336.

Nifty stocks have seen selective trades. BHEL is the top loser on the index. The stock is down by over 3% in the early trades.

Some of the IT stocks have continued to slide further. Both TCS and HCL Tech have each lost nearly 1%. Wipro and Infy have lost 0.8%.

Sun Pharma, from the pharmaceutical segment has been showing winning streaks. The stock is up by 1.3% at 590.95. Financial counters such as HDFC and IDFC have also been showing some buying interest. HDFC is up by 1.1% while IDFC is up by 0.8%

The Nifty Junior index is up by 65 points at 12045. Both Adani Ports and Adani Enterpises have gained over 1.5% each. Cummins has lost 2.5%.
