Sensex rises marginally. Auto & metal stocks hit in trade

markets move highThe Sensex and the Nifty have seen marginal rise with similar cues from global market indices. Auto stocks have seen the forefront of selling in today’s trade, as some of the metal counters have also seen declines.

The Nifty is up by 25 points at 6211 while the Sensex has moved up by 80 points to stand at 20893.

Some of the cement stocks have seen buying interest. Ambuja Cements has seen a surge of 3% in today’s trade, making the stock to trade at 164.70. ACC is up by 0.8%.

Bharti Airtel has gained 1.5% after days of successive declines. The stock is quoting at 287.30.

Indus Ind bank and RCOM are trading higher with 1% gains on each counter.

Coal India, from the metal space is the loser among Nifty stocks. The stock is down by 1.5% at 248.15. SSLT is trading down by 0.5% at 183.10.

Auto manufacturers have seen declines in today’s trade. Hero Motoco is down by 0.4%. M&M has seen a downside of 0.6%. Tata motors has also seen a decline of 0.2% in today’s trade.

The CNX Nifty Junior is up by 85 points. LIC Housing Finance is the top gainer with 3% surge. Cummins India and Titan Industries have gained 1.5% each.
