Markets Quiet Trades

Markets have opened flat with cautious trades witnessed across sectors. With the bourses waiting for directions from any of the political changes, the indices have seen flat opening for the day.

 

US markets move up

The US markets have rallied during the trade on Wednesday, as the tensions on Ukraine crisis seem to ease. Tech stocks were the leaders of the rally.

 

Sensex and Nifty flat

The BSE Sensex is down by 49 points at 21782 . The NSE Nifty has seen a decline of 18 points at 6506.

The Bank Nifty has seen a decline of 93 points.
Axis Bank has been the top loser on the index. It has moved down by 2.2% and is currently trading at 1356. Kotak Bank has seen a cut of more than 1%. PNB has corrected by 1% after a superb rally seen in the past trading sessions. The stock is currently trading at 641. Bank of Baroda has also lost 1.4%.

PSU banking major State Bank of India has lost 1% at 1691.

IT names have seen some marginal increase after yesterday’s fall. Wipro has seen a surge of 1.8%. Infy has seen a gain of 0.8% at 3299. TCS has also increased by 1%.

The NSE Nifty Junior has also seen a decline of 12 points at 12772.

Cummins India is down by 3% at 563. PFC is down by 2.5%. Hindustan Petroleum and Canara Bank have also lost nearly 2% each.

Mphasis, from the midcap IT space, has gained 2% and is trading at 401.30
