Nifty closed at 4758, just 1 pt higher or 0.02%.

Markets witnessed huge swings in the indices, as stocks from various sectors saw volatile buying and selling.  Nifty went lower and touched 4680 levels and recovered back sharply to touch 4800 levels. However during the close the Nifty was absolutely flat.

Telecom stocks closed higher. RCOM gained 3.4% and closed at 170. Bharti Airtel closed 2.8% higher.

Suzlon energy closed 2.5% higher. BHEL closed 1.3% higher.

Chambal Fertlizers from the fertilizer pack surged 7.3% higher.

ONGC has rose 2.3% at 1116.

Metals stocks were on the decline. Tata Steel closed 4.5% lower at 533. Hindalco was down by 3.4%. GujNRECoke closed 5% down at 70.90
