Markets have witnessed a sharp recovery from the lows of the day, as European markets have opened stronger. Telecom stocks have gained significantly in the recovery.

The Nifty has pulled back to 4781, up by 24 pts or 0.5%. However it touched levels of 4680, during the midday session. Most of the stocks have recovered from the day lows. Bharti Airtel is the big gainer with 3% surge at 309. RCOM has gained 1.7% PNB is up by 2.8%. BHEL has gained 0.5%. LT is up by 1.3% at 1448. ONGC is also up by 1.8%. HCL Tech has rose 1.4%. Unitech is up by 1.1%. Tata steel continues to trade in deep red, although it has recovered from day lows. The stock is down by 3.3% and is trading at 540. |
